The event, themed “Garden under the Full Moon,” will take place for only two nights, on October 19th and 20th, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m., and promises an enchanting experience for visitors.

Nighttime Attractions: Music and Science

The festival’s evening program includes a unique combination of music and science with the “Midnight Aria” Concert and a special garden-themed talk show featuring renowned science YouTuber ‘KwheDo,’ who has over 1.16 million subscribers. The talk show, scheduled for October 20th at 6:00 PM, will explore the healing effects of gardens through a scientific lens, offering an engaging discussion and Q&A session for attendees.

The “Midnight Aria” Concert will take place on both evenings, with each night offering a distinct experience.

On October 19th, the concert will feature live performances by top opera singers, accompanied by insightful commentary on the cultural significance of the music.

On October 20th, Korea’s first show choir group, ‘Harmonize,’ will present a dynamic performance that transcends generations, bringing together various musical genres for a captivating show.

Interactive Night Tours and Games

Visitors can also look forward to “The Midnight Fairy Tour,” where garden fairies appear under the full moon to share enchanting stories about the gardens, and the “Goblin Buff Game,” an interactive experience that anyone can join.

According to the lore, goblins gain special powers when the full moon rises. Participants are invited to explore the Main Theme Garden, solve challenges set by these mystical creatures, and earn buffs. Those who complete all the missions will receive exclusive souvenirs.

Daytime Programs: Embracing Garden Culture

During the daytime, a variety of garden-themed programs will be available under the theme “We’ll Lend You a Garden,” where creators with expertise in garden culture will lead sessions focusing on plants, nature, and healing. Programs such as “Garden Storytelling with Garden Designers,” “Kind Tours,” “Take-Away Botanical Garden,” and “Coloring Garden” will offer visitors opportunities to connect with the beauty of the autumn gardens through interactive and educational experiences.

The highlight of the festival, the Main Theme Garden, spans approximately 60,000 square meters (about 18,000 pyeong) and is divided into eight sub-themed gardens, including the Garden of Wind, Garden of Reflection, and Garden of Healing. With over 632,959 plants from 2,107 different species, the gardens present a stunning autumn display, featuring ornamental grasses such as Miscanthus ‘Morning Light’ and Panicum ‘Heavy Metal.’

Special Exhibitions and Grass Displays

To celebrate the fall season, the garden will also host a special grass-themed exhibition titled “Sailing through Grass Waves,” showcasing a diverse array of ornamental grasses, as well as Poaceae and Cyperaceae species. Visitors will have the chance to compare various types of grasses and explore their aesthetic value in garden design. The exhibition will run from October 1st to November 30th, providing an in-depth look at the versatility of grasses as a key element in garden landscaping.
