Seoul City will introduce free shuttle buses connecting nearby subway stations to Hangang ferry piers ahead of the official launch of the Hangang Bus service next month.

The move aims to improve accessibility for both commuters and tourists during the summer travel season.

Here is the information you need to know:

Shuttle buses will operate on a trial basis in August to match the schedules of the Hangang Bus experience programs. Full weekday service will begin in September during rush hours (6:30–9:00 am / 5:30–10:00 pm).

From August 12, shuttles will run for leisure and evening commuters using Jamsil Pier, as well as for morning commuters departing from Magok Pier.

Magok Pier: Two shuttles will run every 15 minutes between Gayangnadulmok (3 min walk from pier) and the vicinity of Yangcheon Hyanggyo Station (Line 9) and Balsan Station (Line 5).

Jamsil Pier: A circular route will connect Jamsilsaenaenamulmok (5 min walk) to Jamsilsaenae Station (Line 2) and Sports Complex Station (Lines 2 & 9), with 15-minute intervals.

From September, Apgujeong Pier will have a shuttle running every 30 minutes between Sinsa-namulmok (5 min walk) and Apgujeong Station (Line 3).

The free shuttles will complement newly introduced city and village bus routes linking Magok, Apgujeong, and Jamsil piers, as well as new “Ddareungi” bike rental stations within a three-minute walk of piers.

Hangang ferry piers will also be developed into leisure hubs with convenience stores, cafes, and restaurants such as the “Hangang Ramen” experience store and major coffee chains.

Seoul’s Future Hangang Headquarters stated that the expanded transportation links will make it easier for citizens and visitors to enjoy the Hangang Bus.
