Seoul City and Seoul Metro have opened the third installment of the “Fun Station” project, Smart Move Station, at Meokgol Station on Line 7.
The space, designed to integrate fitness into daily urban life, offers personalized, tech-based health management and digital exercise experiences in a familiar subway setting.
Following the success of Yeouinaru’s Runner Station and Ttukseom’s Fit Station, the Meokgol facility officially opened on June 9.
It features four specialized zones: a smart health assessment area, personal-fit studio, immersive cycling space, and a digital activity zone.
Visitors can receive customized workout plans based on initial body and mental health measurements, with all programs available for free during the three-month trial period.
Highlights include VR-based cycling, interactive park golf simulations, and AI-powered strength training equipment. The station also includes changing rooms for on-the-go convenience.
Seoul plans to continue expanding Fun Stations across subway stations, transforming underused public spaces into accessible wellness hubs for all citizens.
