Seoul’s signature outdoor fitness event, Workout in Seoul Plaza, will return on May 15 and run every Thursday evening until June 26.

Now in its third year, the program transforms Seoul Plaza into a vibrant open-air gym from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m., offering a wide range of dynamic sports experiences for citizens of all ages.

This year’s 10-week lineup includes crowd favorites such as Zumba, circuit training, F45 workouts, rhythmic gymnastics, and cheer dance. The event aims to foster a culture of accessible fitness for busy urbanites, allowing anyone to enjoy exercise in the heart of the city.

Participants can take part in four main zones: the main workout stage, the Workout King challenge area, the Fitness Prescription Station for personalized coaching, and the New Sports Zone, which introduces creative sports like LED disc games, tossball, and ballobal.

This year adds fresh excitement with special programs including rock climbing led by a national park rescue specialist and Taekwon-mu, a martial arts performance-dance hybrid by the acclaimed Taekwon Choreo team.

The opening session on May 15 will be held from 12 p.m. to 4 p.m. in conjunction with the final day of the 2025 Seoul Health Show.

On May 30 to June 1, the program temporarily relocates to Ttukseom Hangang Park to coincide with the 2nd Slow and Steady Hangang Tri-Festival, offering a riverside fitness experience focused on swimming, cycling, and running.

Advance registration is available at seoulsportsday.com, with walk-in registration also possible. As programs may change due to weather, participants are encouraged to check the website for daily updates before visiting.
