The “Seven Beach Earthing Challenge” will take place on November 9 at 1 p.m. on Songjeong Beach, organized by the City of Busan, Busan Ilbo, the City Council, the Busan Chamber of Commerce and Industry, and BNK Financial Group, and led by the Busan Barefoot Walking Good City Movement Headquarters.
The event schedule includes opening performances, a warm-up session, a guided course introduction, the Songjeong Beach Earthing Challenge, and a prize draw.
Approximately 5,000 participants are expected to take part in this community barefoot walking event.
Free registration is available on the official website (earthing.busan.com).\
The challenge encourages participants to walk barefoot along Busan’s seven iconic beaches — Haeundae, Gwangalli, Dadaepo, Songjeong, Songdo, Ilgwang, and Imrang — fostering a sense of healing and connection with nature.
Since the inaugural Barefoot Walking City Declaration in April, previous events have taken place at Haeundae, Gwangalli, and Dadaepo beaches, making this the fourth in the series.
The Songjeong event offers participants a scenic 2-kilometer round-trip course, led by group guides holding flags towards Jukdo Park.
Latecomers are welcome to join and walk independently. The event also features wellness booths offering body composition, brainwave, and pulse tests, as well as the “Practice Walking Day” campaign.
Participants can register for free on the Seven Beach Earthing Challenge website, with complimentary bottled water, badges, and souvenirs provided on-site.
This year’s challenge at Songjeong Beach concludes the 2023 series, with plans to resume the remaining three beach challenges next year.
