In April, a variety of cultural and artistic performances that celebrate the full bloom of spring will take place in Yeongdo.
Yeongdo Cultural Arts Center is presenting Art Journey from Yeongdo, a lecture concert series that has continued since 2020. The series combines lectures and performances centered on European art history, cities, and museums. This year’s theme explores notable painters of the Renaissance, Baroque, Romanticism, Impressionism, and Modernism.
The first performance in April focuses on the Renaissance. Alongside concert guide Kim Seong-min, audiences will learn about Renaissance art and explore the works of Leonardo da Vinci, Michelangelo, and Raphael. The event will also feature a performance of a famous aria from the opera Gianni Schicchi, set in Florence.
