Paris Baguette, the country’s leading bakery operator, has launched a new, cheaper coffee brand “Adagio” to compete against lower-priced coffee brands.

The new brand will sell at its approximately 3,200 locations nationwide, with an Americano selling for 2,500 won and mochas and lattes for 3,000 won, cheaper than leading low-priced chain Ediya.

“We were able to keep the cost down by dealing directly with coffee farms, so the price of coffee will remain the same as before,” the company said in a press release.
