The Haeundae Sand Festival marks its 20th anniversary this year with a larger-than-ever celebration from May 16 to 19.

Held along the shores of Haeundae Beach, the 2025 edition embraces the theme “K-Culture Meets Sand,” offering a vibrant mix of performances, hands-on activities, and family-friendly attractions.

The festival begins on May 16 with an opening ceremony featuring a media art performance that reimagines sand sculptures in a new light, followed by a dazzling fireworks display over the beach.

Throughout the festival, visitors can enjoy dynamic K-culture-themed events including a cosplay contest, global street dance performances, and “HIT THE STAGE,” a showcase of rising K-pop stars.

A crowd-favorite random play dance event will invite everyone to join a spontaneous dance party the moment the music starts.

Interactive sand experiences include sculpting challenges where guests can try their hand at building their own sand art, sandboarding activities along the beach, and a lively sand playground designed for children.

The Activity and Game Zone brings additional excitement with air bumper cars on the sand, a water ground inspired by battleground games, large inflatables for bouncing fun, and the Haeundae Noriter, a unique K-playground experience exclusive to the festival.
