(Geoje City)

Geoje City will operate six public water playgrounds from July 8 to August 17, offering residents and children a way to cool off during the hot summer months.

The water parks will be located at Dokbongsan Well-being Park, Okpo Central Park, Aju Haeo-reum Park, Gohyeon Port Neighborhood Park, Mundong Children’s Park (Mundong Prugio Apartment), and Yangjeong Children’s Park (I-Park 2nd Apartment). Each site is equipped with interactive features such as water tunnels, spray zones, and combination play structures.

All facilities will operate free of charge from 10:00 am to 5:00 pm daily, closing on Mondays for routine inspections. Operations may be adjusted based on weather conditions such as rain or strong winds.

To ensure public safety, trained personnel will be on-site at all times during operating hours. The city will also conduct water quality tests every 15 days through certified agencies and daily in-house inspections to maintain clean and safe play environments.

This year, four of the six parks have had their old flooring replaced, and final checks on facilities and safety systems are currently underway to ensure a smooth launch.

Due to ongoing flooring repairs, the water park at Gohyeon Port Neighborhood Park will open slightly later, on Tuesday, July 15.

For updates or detailed information about the individual park openings, residents are advised to contact the Geoje City Park Management Office.
