This year’s Jinhae Gunhang Festival Victory Parade and Patriotic Parade will be grander than ever, offering a unique experience.
Changwon Special City announced that two of the festival’s signature attractions — the Admiral Yi Sun-sin Victory Parade and the Patriotic Parade — will take place from April 4 to 6 in the Jungwon Rotary and Bukwon Rotary areas.
The Admiral Yi Sun-sin Victory Parade, a reenactment of a traditional Joseon naval procession, will begin at 3 p.m. on April 4 and last for an hour.
The procession will feature participants dressed in traditional Korean (Joseon), Chinese (Ming), and Japanese naval uniforms, marching from Dochon Elementary School to Jungwon Rotary, where a military band will perform a congratulatory ceremony.
The parade will be led by a police van and a naval military police mobile unit, followed by the multinational naval parade and military band.
In addition, historical North Korean military weapons, including the Shingijeon and Cheonjachongtong, will be on display.

The Patriotic Parade, showcasing performances by military bands from the Army, Navy, Air Force, Marine Corps, and the U.S. 8th Army, will take place on April 5 and 6 at 1:30 p.m.
The parade will march from Bukwon Rotary to Jungwon Rotary and then to the public stadium.
This year, for the first time, the Mongolian Military Band and the Army Traditional Honor Guard will participate, adding new performances to the lineup.
Additionally, the Air Force Black Eagles air show is scheduled for 2 p.m. on April 5.
The 63rd Jinhae Gunhang Festival will be held in Jinhae-gu from March 29 to April 6, drawing visitors from across the country for this highly anticipated event.
