The 9th Hadong Seomjingang Cultural Heritage Festival kicks off this summer alongside the opening of the Songnim Park Water Park on June 20, offering a refreshing urban escape in the heart of Hadong.
This year, Hadong-gun has upgraded the water park by adding shaded benches, tree canopies, bean bags, and new grassy areas. These improvements were made based on visitor feedback to enhance comfort and accessibility.
The water park will operate on weekends only from June 20 to July 14, and daily during the peak season from July 16 to August 24. It will remain closed on Mondays and Tuesdays for cleaning and maintenance.
Each day will include three sessions — 10:00–12:00, 13:30–15:00, and 15:30–17:00 — with a capacity of 270 visitors per session to ensure safety and maintain water quality.
Facilities include a splash pool, water play structures, fountains, shower rooms, and restrooms—all free of charge.
Lifeguards will be on duty at all times, and weekly professional water quality checks will be conducted to maintain hygiene and safety.
