Seoul’s entrance along Olympic-daero has transformed into a vibrant flower path, delighting drivers.
The Seoul Facilities Corporation recently announced that 30,000 petunias are now in bloom along the main entrance route from Incheon and Gimpo airports into the city.
Since June, the corporation has been cultivating ‘Sky Coral’ flowers, Seoul’s 2024 designated city color inspired by the “pink-hued sky over the Han River.”
Now in full bloom along a 1-kilometer stretch near the Gaehwa interchange, the red petunias offer a stunning autumn display.
Additionally, a 300-meter section between Gayang and World Cup Bridges showcases pink Kochia and yellow chrysanthemums, creating a striking seasonal scene.
The corporation plans to expand the floral pathways along popular tourist routes through next year, ensuring a colorful welcome for visitors.
In addition, Seoul Facilities Corporation has recently enhanced several areas around the city with seasonal attractions, including glow-in-the-dark lighting along Cheonggyecheon and a traditional-style reading nook in Euljiro’s underground shopping area.
