Ahead of the Michelin Guide Ceremony Seoul & Busan 2025, the Michelin Guide has unveiled the Bib Gourmand selection for both Seoul and Busan.
A total of 77 Bib Gourmand restaurants have now been announced, with 58 in Seoul and 19 in Busan.
The Bib Gourmand selection includes 10 new entries in Seoul and 4 in Busan, with a notable increase in Korean, Thai, and vegan cuisine establishments.
The list has become richer with a significant portion of unique Korean culinary offerings such as gomtang, gukbap, mandu, and various noodle dishes.
“After nearly a decade of the Michelin Guide’s presence in Korea, we continue to witness the dynamic growth of Korean culinary culture through the diverse cooking styles at Bib Gourmand restaurants, which offer exceptional flavors at reasonable prices. Seoul has firmly established itself as a new ‘gastronomy destination,’ showcasing not only Korean cuisine but also flavors from Asia, America, and Europe. Meanwhile, Busan stands out for its affordable dining scene, driven by local dishes made with unique regional ingredients,” Gwendal Poullennec, International Director of the Michelin Guide, said.
Bib Gourmand indicates inspectors’ favorites and highlights establishments that offer exceptional value-for-money gourmet experiences.
Since its official introduction in the Michelin Guide in 1997, Bib Gourmand selection has gained widespread popularity among food lovers worldwide.
Restaurants featured in the Michelin Guide Seoul & Busan Bib Gourmand selection offer meals for under 45,000 won per person, chosen through careful evaluation by the Michelin Guide inspectors.
Busan’s newest listings are 100.1.Pyeongnaeng, Bibijae, Jeongjitgan, and Hanwolgwan.
The complete restaurant selection of the Michelin Guide Seoul & Busan 2025 will be unveiled on February 27, 2025 through the Michelin Guide website and mobile application, available for download on iOS and Android.
