This year’s KIMA WEEK will feature a variety of marine leisure experiences, academic conferences on marine industry development, and competitive events.
Highlights include the Busan Mayor’s Cup Paddle Board (SUP) Competition on August 10th and the operation of the KIMA Beach event zone from August 16th to 18th at Gwangalli Beach.

The Busan Mayor’s Cup SUP Competition, introduced last year, is open to participants of all ages and nationalities, with 100 participants competing in short (300 meters) and long-distance (1 kilometer) races. The competition categories include lower grades, high school, and open divisions, ensuring a diverse range of competitors.
Additionally, various marine leisure experience programs are available, including surfing, yacht cruises, and jet boat rides until August 31.
These events will be held at major beaches like Gwangalli and Songjeong, as well as the Suyeongman Yacht Stadium.
Participants can register for these activities through the “Let’s Play at the Sea” app, benefiting from discounted prices on a first-come, first-served basis.
