Dorf Youth Market (Namhae-gun)

The Namhae County Tourism and Culture Foundation has announced the return of the Dorf Youth Market, set to take place on May 24 at the German Village Square in Namhae.

Now in its second edition, the event is part of a regional tourism development project supported by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, in collaboration with Gyeongsangnam-do and Namhae-gun.

Coinciding with the annual Maifest, a traditional German spring celebration, the market will feature German cultural experiences such as building the Maibaum, learning the dance ‘Tanz,’ and enjoying live yodel performances.

Running from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m., the market will include vendors from Namhae, Sacheon, Ulsan, Gimhae, and Changwon, offering handmade goods, perfumes, character toys, and local treats like bungeoppang, patbingsu, and yuzu drinks.

Visitors can take part in activities including a stamp-based lottery, a satisfaction survey gift giveaway, and a free photo printing event, adding extra fun to the day’s festivities.
